When we attempt a creative act, we shine a light on our FEARS and are often forced to confront our greatest fear = fear of the unknown.

When you create something unique to you, it is by definition NOT a copy of something else and this means you had to take the risk of putting something into the world that you are unsure how the world will respond to.

Creative acts help define our relationship with Resistance (#stevenpressfield) and they allow us a way to explore our inner relationships with complex emotions.

If you never take the risk of being creative, you’ll never feel the pull of Resistance and you will not know how to cope with this feeling when it shows up in other areas of your life as PROCRASTINATION.

If a creative act seems scary to you, that means it’s something that’s important to you, it’s a sign that there IS something inside your soul that wants expression but is nervous of being judged.

RESISTANCE SHOWS US WHAT WE REALLY VALUE AND *NEED* TO PURSUE.

It’s the stone upon which the blade of our mind is sharpened.

Who you BECOME will determine EVERYTHING in your life - your limiting beliefs and fears show up it ALL parts of YOU. Your fears cannot be avoided forever, so why not learn to face them in a safe and constructive way.

In the end creativity is about learning to confront and engage with who you really are, something many people may go their whole life without doing.
